Oleksandr Svishchov Opens One Of The Largest Fish Processing Plants In Ukraine In Lviv Region

At the beginning of August this year, a 6,800 m² high-tech fish production facility with a capacity of 300 tons per month was launched in the village of Ivano-Frankove, Lviv region. This is the largest and most powerful industrial enterprise in this area in the West of the country. The capacity of the new plant at PJSC Lviv Regional Fish Production Plant will allow the company to produce an average of 12.5 tons of products daily, while processing up to 25 tons of fish raw materials per day.

It is one of the largest in Ukraine in its field and will fill the budget by almost UAH 50 million annually. “We have created an enterprise that combines modern technologies, strict quality standards and comfortable conditions for the staff. This plant is a contribution to the development of the Ukrainian food industry and its integration into international logistics and trade chains,” said Andriy Kachan, director of the Lviv Regional Fish Production Plant.

“We have invested not only money but also a lot of time and faith in this project. We want products made in Lviv region to be on store shelves across the country and even abroad.

I am grateful to the regional authorities for supporting the launch of new businesses. Together we are committed to strengthening the economy of Lviv region so that our community becomes even more successful and capable.” – said Vitaliy Svishchov, the plant’s investor.

The production will create about three hundred new jobs and pay almost 50 million in taxes annually at full capacity. “It is very good that even in times of war, new businesses and production facilities are emerging in Lviv region. This makes our community even more independent and financially capable, and as a result, we are able to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which defend our safety and lives every day,” added Oleksandr Svishchov, a co-investor in the plant.

The plant was designed and built in accordance with modern international standards of quality, environmental safety and food hygiene (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000). The factory has already equipped a freezer, smokehouse, dryer, and salt baths for the production of various types of products.

The enterprise is divided into four “color” zones in accordance with the principle of separation of flows. The gray area is the ramp for loading raw materials and unloading finished products. The blue zone is a wet production facility for processing and packaging raw, salted and smoked fish. The green zone is a dry area for the production and packaging of preserves and semi-finished products. The yellow zone is for sanitary facilities. The factory building has three floors. The first and second are production levels, and the third is the technical level, where ventilation, refrigeration and engineering systems are located. The facility will process mackerel, herring, sprat, herring, capelin, capelin, carp, trout, salmon, shrimp, and other types of seafood. There are also workshops where various semi-finished products will be made – pieces in oil or sauces, cutlets, minced meat, nuggets and strips, dumplings and dumplings with fish, broths, etc.
